Clare has worked in Catholic education since 1997 when she graduated with a BA Hons from Leeds University with Qualified Teacher Status from Trinity and All Saints College. With over 22 years leadership experience Clare has taught, managed and been a local leader of education in a variety of settings including some of the most deprived and challenging catchment areas in the northwest of England. Clare continues to be a serving Ofsted inspector. Prior to joining Emmaus, Clare worked for the Diocese of Salford Education Team, supporting and quality assuring schools across 13 local authorities and 3 academy trusts. Clare sits on the Primary Academic Steering Group for the PTI, (formerly The Prince’s Teaching Institute) a charitable organisation dedicated to providing the best possible, subject specific CPD for teachers. Often linked to universities and research hubs, Clare has worked with the PTI to source the most relevant and current speakers to tailor bespoke training packages to groups of schools. She was delighted that her work in this field coupled with her wider contributions to education were recognised in 2022 when she was made a fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching. Clare joined the education team at Emmaus in April 2024.
