Jo graduated with a degree and master’s degree in English before undertaking a PGCE at the University of Manchester. Jo joined Emmaus CAT after 12 years of primary headship across two different primary schools. Prior to this she worked as a senior leader in Bolton and Rochdale local authorities. Jo engages with a collaborative of schools, using action research to inform practice. Jo completed a Research Associateship for National College on the impact of coaching. In 2023, she began a NPQEL and is a Fellow of the Chartered College of Teaching. Jo has worked as a Local Leader of Education (LLE), carrying out a number of leadership development projects and teaching and learning reviews. Jo also worked as a Leadership Partner, carrying out Headteacher performance management and school improvement support in schools.
