Maria Kennedy graduated from Leeds Trinity University with a BSc in Forensic Psychology, completed a PGCerT at Manchester University, and holds the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH).
Since her appointment as Curriculum Leader in 2014, Maria has worked passionately to develop curriculum content that reflects and celebrates the diverse identities of all pupils, with a clear focus on preparing them for the next stage of their education.
In addition to this role, Maria has served as Head of School within a Catholic Federation for the past ten years, gaining extensive experience across all age phases. Maria has led on teaching and learning, assessment, and Early Years provision, with a strong commitment to understanding the contextual barriers pupils face and designing research-informed strategies to support high-quality learning experiences.
