Sam joined the Emmaus Central Team in April 2026 as a Safeguarding Support Officer and is based within the Primary Education Team. Sam holds a BA Hons degree in Educational Studies with Physical Education (achieved in 2012), along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (2019) and has experience of working in both Primary and Secondary settings.
Sam has over 13 years’ experience of working with children and families as a; Learning Support Assistant, Pupil Progress Co-ordinator, Class Teacher, Family Liaison Officer, Senior Pastoral Lead and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Prior to joining the Emmaus CAT Central Team, Sam was a Senior Leader within an OFSTED graded ‘Outstanding’ school (2024), within the Salford Diocese.
Sam is passionate about safeguarding and is committed to developing and upholding best practices, helping provide support and guidance to ensure a safeguarding culture, whereby every child and family feel safe, valued and supported.
